Cue is designed to turn content you intentionally share with the app into clear, actionable tasks. This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you use Cue or visit sendtocue.app.

2. How Cue works

Cue does not read your messages, chats, notes or documents automatically.

You decide what Cue processes.

You can provide content to Cue through supported system features such as the iOS Share Sheet, the clipboard, screenshots and images, shared text, notes, documents or Apple Shortcuts.

Cue analyzes the content you provide to identify possible next actions. Depending on the content, this may include task titles, notes, people, relevant objects, conditions, dates and times.

Before anything is exported, you can review, edit, add or remove tasks.

3. Processing on your device

Content you provide to Cue for task analysis is processed using Apple Intelligence on your device.

Cue does not require its own cloud account or Cue-operated server to analyze this content.

In particular, Cue does not independently access or monitor your messages, conversations, documents or other apps.

Your conversations stay on your device during Cue’s analysis.

4. Content you provide

Depending on how you use Cue, the content you intentionally share may contain personal data. This can include:

• text from messages, notes or documents;
• screenshots or images;
• names or other information about people mentioned in the content;
• dates, times and other contextual information;
• tasks, task titles and task notes derived from the content.

You are responsible for deciding which content you share with Cue.

Because the analysis takes place on your device, Cue does not maintain a server-side copy of the content submitted for analysis.

5. Exporting tasks

Cue can send tasks to supported destinations selected by you, including Apple Reminders, Things and OmniFocus. You can also copy tasks to the clipboard.

Only information required for the task you choose to export is passed to the selected destination.

Once information is transferred to another application or service, its processing is governed by that application’s or service’s privacy practices.

Cue does not control how third-party applications subsequently store, synchronize or process exported tasks.

6. App settings

Cue may store settings required for the operation of the app locally on your device. These can include preferences such as your selected output language, level of detail or task destination.

7. Website access

When you visit sendtocue.app, technical information necessary to deliver the website may be processed by the website’s hosting infrastructure.

This can include information such as:

• IP address;
• date and time of the request;
• requested page or resource;
• browser and operating system information;
• referrer information;
• technical error or security information.

This processing is necessary to provide, secure and maintain the website. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is generally Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.

Technical server logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operation, security and troubleshooting, subject to the retention practices of our hosting provider.

8. Contact and support

If you contact us by email or another support channel, we process the information you provide in order to answer your request.

Where applicable, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to the use of Cue or a contractual relationship, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other support and communication requests.

We retain support correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations.

9. No sale of your content

Cue does not sell the content you intentionally provide to the app for task analysis.

10. Your rights

Where the GDPR applies and we process personal data about you, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability.

You may also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

Please note that content processed only locally on your device and never received by us cannot be accessed, corrected or deleted by us.

11. Third-party platforms

Cue is designed for Apple platforms and may interact with Apple system functionality and applications selected by you.

The availability and operation of services provided by Apple, Things, OmniFocus or other third parties are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Cue changes, when we introduce new services or when legal requirements change.

The current version will always be available on this page.
